Training Overview

I have seen many residential management companies spend over a quarter of a million dollars annually on what I like to call “nuisance” HVAC repairs. I’ve been around enough rental properties to know that these calls are definitely the majority of calls. These calls can be fixed within 15 minutes however private HVAC companies charge a minimum of an hour. With the average service call in the United States costing $225-$500, along with the average mark up on parts of 300%, these “nuisance calls” can add up very quickly. By having the ability to fix 75 percent of HVAC problems through utilization of onsite personnel, instead of private HVAC contractors, will save you thousands per year.

HVAC Companies

Through my one day consulting class, conducted at your facility, your maintenance personnel will be taught to repair and properly maintain heating and air equipment throughout your property including gas and carbon monoxide safety for those management companies that utilize gas furnaces. Your personnel will be spending little to no time sitting in a “classroom” setting. Instead I will utilize a hands- on approach in order to teach participants how to repair and maintain your properties specific equipment. I will also provide all participants with material that will assist them in future repairs as well as my contact information incase additional questions arise. I have worked for various HVAC companies throughout the United States, and through that experience I have learned that companies don’t want to spend money unless they are able to see a positive return on their investment.

COMMAND Repairs

By educating your personnel on how to conduct the majority of HVAC repairs and maintenance themselves, instead of relying on private HVAC contractors, I am confident that this class will pay for itself within a year. However, I will also provide a “promise of repayment agreement” that I suggest all management companies’ use. This agreement states that the management company will pay for the training class, as long as the maintenance personnel agree to remain with the company for at least one year. If personnel voluntarily choose to leave their position as part of the maintenance crew, they will need to reimburse the management company for the cost of the class. This agreement will also help ensure that you will see a return on the investment of your personnel.
